Today is the " Day of Love"

As I was commuting to work this morning, I was thinking how we all have someone to love. Everyone has people around them to express love to, whether children, parents, siblings, co-workers, neighbors... we all have someone.

Valentines can be a hard sad day for many, because we all want to  know we are loved and have someone to love. God created us with that need, we were created to be relational people. 

I encourage you today .. if you are single to encourage your self in the Lord.. and I promise he will encourage you as well, and your will feel the amazing love of God. 

In 1 Samuel 30:1-25  there is a story where David was in a situation and he had to Encourage himself in the Lord... " But David encouraged and strengthened himself in the Lord" ,and in return he won the victory in his battle. 

One way to encourage yourself is in the WORD OF GOD.. you see the Bible is a personal love letter to you. So take some time to read your love letter, and let it strengthen and encourage you. 

Here are a few scriptures that come to heart when I think of how much GOD LOVES YOU.

Zep.3:17

The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing.

Isnt that sweet to know... He exalts over you with singing! He serenades you his beloved.

You are his beloved....Song of Soloman says 

"I am my beloved and my beloved is mine many waters can not quench my love for you" 

Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave.
Song of Solomon, 8. 6

Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

Song of Solomon, 8. 7 

Encourage yourself in his love and promises for you today... tell yourself you are precious to him. He  rejoices over you with JOY, he holds no grudges against you , but loves you completely with AGAPE love, and he exalts over you with singing, you are sealed  upon his heart, and nothing , no matter what, will quench ( stop) his love for you.

He Loves you with a 1 Corinthians 13  Love

So because you are loved by the king , you are his princess, you are equipped to be a vessel of love.

So focus your love today upon Christ, and those around you, and see how he lavishes you with his love.

There are NO regrets in Jesus.

For I am persuaded , that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities,nor powers,nor things present,

nor things to come,nor height,nor depth,nor any creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
